Yesterday marked the deadline for selecting and submitting candidates to the Manuel Olivencia Award for Good Corporate Governance, which rewards governance efforts made by listed Spanish companies.

Over the next few weeks, the Award jury, chaired by Manuel Pizarro and composed of 14 renowned figures from business and law, will examine the nominations and reward those practices that acknowledge the importance of transparent management and corporate governance for the sustainable generation of value by companies.

When examining the candidates, the jury will consider the ethical value of the listed companies’ actions and their effective commitment to good governance. It will also assess whether these practices can serve as a model for other companies.

The winner of the Manuel Olivencia Award will be announced at a public event at the Madrid Stock Exchange on October 24.
